Greensboro, NC | July 24-26, 2018
The School of Styling in Greensboro, NC is a unique three day hands-on business and styling workshop experience created with a mission to equip and encourage female creative entrepreneurs. You will strengthen your design eye and personal aesthetic through hands-on sessions in a variety of mediums like floral design, tabletop styling, and brush calligraphy, to name a few. We put a lot of emphasis on community, which is why we have designed our workshops to cultivate a creative community of women who support, encourage, and challenge you. Our speakers are engaged and coaching you the entire workshop, another perk to the intimate 20-person workshop we have created.
You will walk away inspired, encouraged, and ready to take on the world with the tools to do so!
We will spend three wonderful days together at Greensboro's beautiful new venue, the McAlister-Leftwich House. Nestled on the edge of downtown in fisher park, this dual-home property is close to hotels, restaurants, and local shops.

Florist & owner of true vine studio
Kaylyn Hewitt is the owner and creative director at True Vine. Kaylyn was born in San Jose, CA and raised in Rowlett, Texas. For as long as she can remember she’s been drawn to flowers and design. After graduating from Baylor University (go bears!), she moved to Boston, MA to pursue a career in child development. Loving her work, but not feeling as though she was the right fit for the industry, Kaylyn decided to end her pursuit of higher education and started dreaming of owning her own floral design company. After a year of dreaming and planning, she started 1956blooms and has been on this wild ride since.
Kaylyn likes to strike a balance between simple and complex. She believes in the subtleties and details of design and approaches each project as a way to highlight the character of her clients and what they love.
Outside of True Vine she loves music (tied with flowers), laughing with her friends and family, and spending time in Texas.

Most recently, Alyssa used her background in event planning to launch the Laura Hooper Calligraphy workshops which have taught the art of pointed-pen to over 4,000 students in person around the US & Europe.
Copywriter & owner of Lisa Kirk Writing
Lisa Kirk is a wife, mama, and the owner of Lisa Kirk Writing. Her dream job at a bridal magazine led her to Raleigh, North Carolina a month after she graduated with her journalism degree from The University of Texas. In between writing hundreds of real wedding blog posts and helping to coordinate editorial shoots across the Southeast over the next four years, she married her study abroad sweetheart and then welcomed a baby boy a year and a half later.
Motherhood inspired her to step into a new path of serving creative wedding professionals through blogging, social media, and submission copywriting. She believes that weddings are both sacred and joyful, that wedding professionals are in a unique position to serve and encourage a couple preparing for marriage, and that a beautiful feature can serve as the perfectly tied bow on top of an exquisite client experience.
When she's not writing about the sweetest couples for Lisa Kirk Writing, she loves working on her style blog, Something Pretty, dreaming up her next European vacation, and seeking out the best brunch in Raleigh.
